The Mean average temperature is 68 degrees, in July and August it can reach 85 degrees and in December it averages 48 degrees.   Our Mean annual precipitation is 47 inches.

Farms, Agricultural Products and Rivers
Aiken County is home to 713 farms which produce soybeans, cotton, corn, peaches, peanuts, wheat, bermuda grass (hay), livestock and poultry.   The Savannah and Edisto rivers run through Aiken County.
Transportation, Airports and Highways
The CSX and Norfolk Southern Railroads service the Aiken area.   Major highways are Interstate 20; US 1, Highways 25, 78, 278; SC Roads 19, 125, 191, 302.   Aiken Municipal Airport, a general aviation airport with 5700 foot runway is located on US 1.   Bush Field Airport in Augusta, Georgia is only 17 miles away and has daily service by major carriers.   Columbia Metropolitan Airport in Columbia, SC in 55 miles away and also had daily service by major carriers.
