1999 New Ellenton Christmas Parade
Perfect Weather for 1999 New Ellenton Christmas Parade
December 4th - New Ellenton, SC
Beautiful weather and spirited Christmas music filled the air at the 1999 New Ellenton Christmas Parade. This is a Parade big enough for Santa to attend, but small enough for folks to park along Main Street and view the parade from the back of their truck or sport utility vehicle.
The Santa Man in New Ellenton!
The Candy Getters We shared our parade fun with two 9 year olds and one whippet. Remember watching the Christmas parade through 9 year old eyes? What great fun we had! The people on floats, driving old cars and back seat celebrities threw candy to us...and we scrambled to get our share. This was better than Halloween! We saw clowns, dogs, horses, school bands, ROTC Units, fire trucks and even Bat Man.
We saw Smoky the Bear on his bulldozer. He was so big and hairy! When the Rescue trucks drove by we had to cover our ears. The noise was so loud. Everyone said they shoud turn them down, but no one could hear the words...ha! It was a great day for a parade and everyone we talked with is looking forward to the year 2000 parade. Here's more pictures from the parade. A Clown and his dog!
